Promote energy efficient design and waste reduction at an affordable cost and justified by the rate of return, some energy and environmental features are shown in below:
- 77,000L water tank collecting rain water for flushing
- Adopt solar water heater on roof with heat pump for canteen hot water supply
- Additional heat exchanger to pre-cool air compressor cooling system with cooling water from cooling tower
- Motion sensors for automatic toilet lighting and flushing control
- Photo sensors for controlling lights in corridor with windows
- Install windows around the hangar for natural lighting with light colour interior that allows light off in daytime
- Adopt the newly developed air compressors that can save energy and minimise maintenance cost
- Air-conditioned exhaust air will be dumped to external via toilets to eliminate additional air-conditioner for toilets
- Adopt CO2 sensor to save primary air-conditioning for canteen during non-occupied hours
- Automatic ventilation load control for paint booth exhaust, kitchen hydro-vent systems by reducing the system capacity during partial operation
- Adopt natural ventilation in hangar at high and low levels to eliminate powered ventilation for driving away hot air
- Reduce unnecessary lights during the design stage and effective light placement
- Ensure all low level lights are energy saving fluorescent or PL lights
- All exit signs are low energy LED type
- Promote double side printing for contractor’s documentations and submissions
